It’s been annoying me for the past 20 years. Today’s example is an argument about how taxes work. One guy said he was gonna make a bot that corrects people. I said your country isn’t the only one who uses reddit. He told me to get over it, because reddit is an American website.

But I see it happen a lot in recipe groups, or gaming groups, or home improvement groups, gardening groups, you name it, any hobby, anywhere. It gets infuriating when they're giving advice that is 100% useless to half the population, even when the OP states very clearly what country they are in.

America has a population of 328.2 million people. Australia and the UK have a combined population of 92.01 million people. That is almost a 80/20 ratio of Americans in the English speaking western world. So yes, if you go on an American based social media site there is a good site it's going to be America-centric.
