Danielle Kartes shares one of her recipes from her new baking cookbook;

"Butter, Flour, Sugar, Joy."

Bangin' Chocolate :marseyhank: Cake with Peanut Butter Fluff Frosting

We need "wow" cake in our arsenals. We need a cake that's like, okay, yum! A cake worthy of a birthday :marseycake2: or a bar-becue, simple :marseysmug4: yet INCREDIBLE, a crowd-pleaser. If you like peanut butter and chocolate, you need this cake! If you feel like having fun with it, don't be afraid :marseyaaajumpscare: to chop up a few peanut butter cups to sprinkle on top.

Shared a twin with a partner for a few years, always found it more cozy than a double.

we're both fat so we barely fit lol. we've started sleeping in opposite directions to avoid pushing each other off the bed

Shouldn't the pickiness with food help with that tho?

just because he's picky doesn't mean he doesn't eat. while we're short on money now doesn't mean that he couldn't afford to eat in the past

Short. Concise. Embarrassing.

Developing States are at the center of the development of central bank–issued digital currency. Their governments' efforts to capitalize on digital currenciesβ€”as well as the accompanying discourse of fast-tracked economic development and democratization of the financial system promoted by the states and the technology and political entrepreneurs who court themβ€”reaffirm the role of islands as sites of experimentation, this time as fintech laboratories.

Wow, the Summer Game Fest 2023 is a total snoozefest :marseysleep:

This has to be the 2nd worst game event I've seen in recent memory. Super long boring talks, terrible trailers that have cringy music and annoying voiceovers, tons of mobile and f2p garbage, do any game devs know how to market anymore?

Edit: also this is a game fest, why does it have so many tv show sections?

Teacher DTF (a kid)

My internship partner acts weird when we're around a 14 year old kid.

So for a bit of context I 25f am doing a bachelor degree in fine art in combination with teaching, so I can become an art teacher. My school requires me to do an internship at a high school for a few months. I am meant to give classes and learn how to become a teacher. I am doing this with another classmate who is my duo partner (24f).

We've given various different art subjects to multiple different classes, and over the weeks we've gotten to know most of the kids quite well. But recently I've noticed a certain type of behavior from my intern duo.

There is this one kid who is a 14 year old boy, he's a very nice kid and likes to engage in conversations with both me and my duo. But as I said before, I noticed my duo behaving in certain ways that is kind of weird, and it would always happen when the kid was around.

For instance during class we were talking about music and what songs we like to listen to. My duo mentioned this one music group and suggested the kid should listen to it. He then said it wasn't really his style and that he didn't like that group. My duo kinda kept pressing on to give it a chance, so I just said to the kid β€˜you don't have to listen to them if you don't want to of course'. This seemingly set off my duo and she became almost hostile towards me and saying things like I should shut up and things like that. At first I thought maybe she's just trying to be funny in a aggressive way, but I couldn't ignore the defensive tone underneath her behavior.

Another time my duo and I were walking around the school during break, the kid came up to us and said hi and we talked for a bit. He asked me some questions and if I had any plans for the weekend. I told him what I was gonna do and he told me what his plans were, he was going to go see his girlfriend (which I thought was super adorable). Then my duo started asking him questions about his girlfriend, how they knew each other and stuff like that. And then she asked if he could show a picture of his girlfriend. I then kind of made a joke about it not being GDPR to ask for a pic of his girlfriend. My duo, again, started acting hostile and defensive and said that she was just showing interest. I noticed how the kid got kinda uncomfortable by my duos request for a pic of his girlfriend, so I told him he didn't have to show if he didn't want to.

These are just two instances out of many where I have noticed my duo getting defensive and mean and would sometimes even try to paint me in a bad light or embarrass me in front of this kid.

She has openly expressed how she thinks the kid is adorable and how she has already deemed him her favorite student (which I think a teacher shouldn't even have favorites to begin with, but that's beside the point).

Now I want to be completely clear when I say that I don't think she is a predator or has some kind of sick infatuation for the kid, but I can't deny that her behavior is weird.

I have told her that, although we are closer to these kids in age than the rest of the teachers at the high school, we are not their friends but their teachers and should behave as such.

I want to talk to her about it, because it's starting to really bother me how she just acts so mean to me whenever we're around the kid. She is my classmate and friend so that just makes this extra difficult.
